Welcone and About This Forum - andy - 02-10-2017

Welcome to OpenBazaar Talk!

This is created with the intention of promoting Open Bazaar and all the stores and services that are building up around it. Feel free to post here, if you have a question, an answer or want to promote your store/service, website, whatever. All we ask is that it has relevance to Open Bazaar.

This is your forum; new admins and moderators will be welcome. Also any ideas on how we can improve the site. What I put here already is just an example,

As you can see, I have not spent a lot of time on the site, but I will if you think it is a worthwhile effort. I think we need familiar style forum as new users who are less techie come on board, and I can;t do coding, so this is my way of doing my bit. I hope we'll get some good conversations going here and help OB go from strength to strength.

All the best
Andy

Thanks for putting in the work to make this. It's great to have more members of the community participating.

@tyler, no the thanks go to you and the others, you solved 90% of my problems with OB. Trying for years to find an easy way for friends in Africa to sell stuff online. Now all I need to do is find someone in Kenya willing to help them set up with wallets and have a way to convert to local silly money until it goes away!

Cheers
Andy

Good stuff! Glad to be on the forum.
Now we just need to solve the other 90% problems in Africa ;-) eg how to get BTC.

Yes! I think selling stuff is by far the best way. There may not be a lot happening right now, but by getting in early you're making it happen. Got a great name too. I have friends on Rusinga Island, if you're anywhere near there, they could use some help to get set up. It'll come, you're already way ahead of the rest of the world due to MPESA, it won't take much for people to switch from minutes to BTC once these initial difficulties are overcome.
